How far would you go for a discount? Urban clothing retailer Ecko is putting this question in the hands of the consumer.
Ecko is offering 20% off their clothing for life if you get a tattoo of one of their two logos. Doesn't seem like a fair trade off, but I am sure in this crazy world there will be someone that takes advantage. To spice things up a bit, the retailer is giving you a choice of using the Ecko Unltd. patch or the Marc Ecko Cut & Sew label. I'm not really feeling the rhino encapsulated in a pill shaped cage, but that angry pair of scissors is really calling my name.
Likely, Ecko is mainly doing this for the publicity about the campaign, which has taken little effort on their end. 20% off is a small price to pay for a lifetime of publicity. I hope Ecko will eventually post a photo gallery of all their smiling victims participants.
So remember kids, 20% off may seem like a wonderful deal now, but you will likely pay it all back in laser removal when that hip Ecko rhino starts to look like a melting chocolate bunny in 40 years.
