What do you do if you're a mall in New Jersey and you want to encourage people to get their picture made with your Santa Claus? You hire Improv Everywhere to produce a flash mob musical for you, of course!

For some (not me), the flash mob is played out, but I argue that this one combines just the right amounts of nostalgia, holiday cheer, and whismy. After all, as the main character in one of my favorite novels says, "Those who shun the whimsy of things will experience rigor mortis before death."

Besides, I'm convinced the little kid in the video is Macaulay Culkin's doppelganger.
